Business leaders looking to build strong project management teams now have another resource available to them: Author and training expert Frank Saladis has released his new book, Positive Leadership in Project Management: A Practical Guide to Enhancing Individual, Team and Organizational Performance.
The book is a how-to guide for company leaders and project managers who want to build effective teams and push them to perform with innovation and creativity, according to the book description released by IIL Publishing, a division of the International Institute for Learning.
The discipline of project management focuses on organizing business resources to meet project goals. The book is based on Saladis’s 30 years of experience in telecommunications project management.
In the description, IIL Publishing explains, “This book offers paradigm shifting expertise from leading authorities, leadership models from notable and innovative companies, and exercises to trace personal progress.” The book also includes reference materials and resource lists, and Saladis draws from his extensive personal experience in project management to transform complex source materials into real-world applications and advice.
According to the press release, Saladis is well known in project management circles as a trainer and writer. He has authored or co-authored six other books on the topic, and is the originator and founder of International Project Management Day, which was begun in 2004 as an annual recognition of creative, hardworking project managers throughout the world. He is currently an instructor for Successful Projects and a senior trainer for the International Institute of Learning.
The International Institute for Learning provides various training, consulting, coaching and learning opportunities for large companies. Their curriculum includes courses in project management, program management and business analysis.
The book was launched on March 18 at Rizzoli Bookstore in New York City and is available both online and in stores.
