Studying metropolitan areas in the U.S., 24/7 Wall St. has determined the most and least educate cities in the country. They examined people 25 years old and older who had at least a bachelor’s degree using data from the 2013 American Community Survey from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The most educated cities according to the study are:

- 58.5% of adult residents have at least a bachelor’s degree
- $71,604 is the median household income
- $44,060 is the median annual income for adults in this area who have bachelor’s degree
- Ann Arbor, Mich.
- 53.5% of adult residents have at least a bachelor’s degree
- $59,660 is the median household income
- $46,829 is the median annual income for adults in this area who have bachelor’s degree
- Corvallis, Ore.
- 52.2% of adult residents have at least a bachelor’s degree
- $47,808 is the median household income
- $36,211 is the median annual income for adults in this area who have bachelor’s degree
- Ithaca, N.Y.
- 50.9% of adult residents have at least a bachelor’s degree
- $48,516 is the median household income
